Using cloth nappies has always been important to us.

We have always felt the importance of reducing our impact on this earth. The thought of thousands of disposable nappies sitting in a landfill that will outlast the generations to come, made using cloth an easy choice.
We started buying cloth nappies and before long Shantelle decided to use her years of sewing experience to hand-make some. Months of testing and a strict Melbourne lockdown resulted in Little Folk Handmade.
We started with just making nappies but quickly added ‘grow with me clothing’ to the products available. These are a perfect sustainable product as they reduce the number of clothing items needed for your child and fit for a longer period of time.
Shantelle makes all items at home and nearly always late at night when everyone else is asleep. She juggles this business along with studying to become a midwife and raising her two little boys.
